Udaipur, these days, is wearing a different look with a messiah all out on streets bringing joys for street kids and jobs for needy women.
The man with a mission is none other than Mukesh Madhwani who is running Khushiyon ki Gaadi, (A cart of Happiness), under the banner of Being Manav, an off-shoot of M Square Foundation, which he presides over as chairperson.
With his unique efforts, the underprivileged and needy people of the city have all smiles as they get quality clothing from 1 to 2 pm each day outside the Ashok Bakery.
The street kids have been benefited as thousands of clothes have been distributed to them under this drive.
Mukesh Madhwani’s team works round-the-clock under the banner of M Square Foundation to attain the objectives of the Being Manav campaign and are spreading smiles on thousands of faces who were in dire needs of such products.
According to Madhvani, ’Being Manav’ is a unique initiative launched with the sole aim of bringing happiness for destitute. This initiative shall go miles in making thousands of lives better in the coming future.
Madhwani has run a total of 9 cloth drives so far under which 40,000 refurbished clothes have been distributed to needy and distributed to them so far. Also, under 5 food drives launched to date, food has been distributed to 3,500 people to date. Besides food and clothing, bags, stationery, etc has also been distributed to the destitute.
Over a lakh, people have been benefitted under the drive.
Mukesh is quite concerned for social upliftment cause of have-nots and is therefore working hard to raise their socio-economic standard.
On this Ganesh Chaturthi, he made a fresh start in Udaipur under which garlands and flowers offered to gods in temples and households shall be converted into incense sticks. This will involve training and employing hundreds of unemployed and poor women.
In a two-pronged initiative, it will help unemployed women to find jobs and secondly, it will check pollution in lakes as these flowers were being immersed in the lake waters, said M Square Foundation Chairman Mukesh Madhwani.
