Mukesh Madhwani is a man with a vision and mission!

Carving his own niche in Udaipur, he is leading from the front for diverse causes—to mark Lake City’s presence on the global map by setting a Film City here, to help the have-nots by fulfilling their basic needs and to create employment and business opportunities in his hometown so that people here can have enormous prospects to grow. With the dreams shining high in his eyes, Madhwani is eager to invite Bollywood, Hollywood, and such institutes to Udaipur to set their shooting sets for film shoots.

‘Defining a vision to accomplish his mission, he is striving hard to convert his dream into a reality.’

In fact, Madhwani is trying to revive and generate the prospects of Film Tourism in Udaipur as he believes that Udaipur and Rajasthan both will emerge as a major business destination once Film City is set in the Lake City. He is also confident that the youths shall get jobs and tremendous opportunities to generate business with the coming up of Film city in Udaipur and hence he is working out all his efforts to ensure that coming generations in this city can speak proudly of the Film City and there is no dearth of jobs and opportunities for them in their home town.In fact, Mukesh’s strenuous efforts have helped Udaipur emerge as a favorite film shooting destination with hundreds of Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian, and Rajasthani Films & TV serials been shot here.

Mukesh is equally inclined to social upliftment cause of have-nots and has been working hard to raise their socio-economic standard.

His NGO Being Manav has been providing food, clothes, books amongst many other commodities to deprived kids.

The man is known as a visionary with a sharp business acumen and exceptional management skills who sets new targets for himself even before he achieves the earlier ones. Inheriting his moral values and generosity from father Mr. Ashok Madhwani & mother Mrs. Madhu Madhwani, Mukesh is the eldest of three brothers who completed his schooling from Udaipur and pursued his degree course in Food and Beverages from the Food Craft Institute Udaipur.

Thereafter, he joined his father’s bakery and here his business acumen started showing results. In the year 2000, the family started Ashoka catering that served food to various film banners at their shooting sites.

At this juncture, Mukesh had an idea about film production in Udaipur and this idea got a boost when he managed to get permission for the shooting of the film ‘The Fall’ with his friend Anil Mehta’s help.

Again he made a fresh start here as a local assistant manager in the film production sector and the idea to set up a film city in Udaipur struck him in the year 2010. Without delay, he formed a strong team and started pursuing relentlessly for the cause. After years of struggle, they managed to get a nod from local authorities to initiate the plan of setting up a film city in Udaipur.

The team is actively pursuing various film and TV stars visiting Udaipur to support them and strengthen their campaign for Film City. The positive response from stalwarts of tourism, Rajasthan’s royalty, and the government provided significant magnitude to the campaign.

Mukesh says

"There are several advantages of making Udaipur a film city as it is blessed with unmatched scenic beauty, historical monuments and distinct culture which further boost its prospects as a favorite spot for film shooting. No wonder during the last four decades, over 500 Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian and Rajasthani Films and numerous TV serials have been shot here. Moreover, the geographical location of Udaipur makes it well connected to metros. The rail, road, and air connectivity are also favorable."

Mukesh further founded M Square Productions and Events in the year 2017 which manages big and small events all across the state and country.

Despite his busy schedule, he never neglects serving mankind.

‘Being MANAV’ is his brainchild which is by far the most sincere step towards amelioration of the downtrodden section of society. Initiated by team M Square in May 2019, ‘Being MANAV’ started as a campaign that involves citizens to donate the unused household items and clothes at a particular spot. The team of the square then gets the items refurbished in a usable form and later distributes them among the needy ones. Over 40,000 refurbished clothes have been distributed via this campaign and 3500 underprivileged have been taken care of to date.

‘Being MANAV’ campaign, ‘Khushiyo ki gaadi’ (the Cart of Happiness) is yet another campaign launched by him to care for have-nots under which the Being MANAV team requests the citizens passing by the Ashoka bakery corner to keep the bag of clothes/ items provided in their vehicle from 1 pm to 2 pm each day. This is then passed on to needy individuals.

Mukesh has many other social and business commitments too. Recently he has been recruited as the convener for the Udaipur chapter of FORTI (Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industries). His outstanding contribution to the emergence of Udaipur as a prime shooting location and his social works have been recognized as well through awards and honor. He has been bestowed with several awards by various organizations for his zealous efforts to make Lake City a film city. Despite his hectic schedule in diverse activities, Mukesh never forgets to spend quality time with family members. In fact, he tries to spend as much time with better half wife Mala, fifteen-year-old son Manav, and daughter Yamini.

In all terms, he is a gem of a person busy spreading smiles across to shoo off poverty and invite prosperity for all sections of people!
