The Traditional Hut is built the way homes have always been built in Salawas — walls raised from a mix of local mud and cow-dung manure, finished by hand and left to breathe. It's a technique that predates air conditioning by centuries and still works: the hut stays noticeably cooler through the desert afternoon and holds warmth once temperatures drop after dark.

Inside, expect simple, handcrafted comfort rather than hotel polish — a comfortable bed, our family's own hand-woven dhurrie rugs underfoot, and an attached bathroom with running hot and cold water. This is the room most guests picture when they imagine an authentic Rajasthan village stay.
