The Bishnoi community that surrounds Salawas is famed across Rajasthan for its centuries-old commitment to protecting trees and wildlife — long before "conservation" was a word anyone used. Our jeep safari takes you off the highway and onto village tracks, guided by Chhotaram or Ashok Prajapat, who know every family along the route personally.

This isn't a staged cultural show. You'll sit in real courtyards, watch real work in progress, and see the everyday rhythms of a farming and artisan community that has changed little in generations.

Wildlife You May Spot

Because the Bishnoi protect their land so fiercely, this pocket of Rajasthan holds some of the best rural wildlife-viewing in the state. Keep your camera ready for blackbuck and chinkara antelope grazing openly near the fields, peacocks in the trees, and — if you're lucky at dawn or dusk — a desert fox slipping between the dunes.
